Republican Congressional candidate Paul Huber wants the region's current U.S. representative - Democrat Kathy Dahlkemper - to ask Rep. Charles Rangel, chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, to resign.

Dahlkemper holds teh Third District Congressional seat which includes almost all of Crawford County.

A House ethics panel has accused Rangel, also a Democrat, of violating House rules by accepting a corporate trip to the Caribbean.

The Federal Ethics Commission reports Rangel gave more than $14,000 to Dahlkemper's election campaign between June 2008 and September 2008.

Huber also wants Dahlkemper to take the Rangel campaign donations given to her campaign and turn them over to charity as well as have Dahlkemper apologize to her constituents.

Calls to Dahlkemper's office Tuesday weren't returned.
